Midsummer Night's Dream

Last night has been just that.
My mom and I went to see 'Midsummer Night's Dream' at the Globe Theatre in Villa Borghese. I had never been there before, even though it has been in place for six years now. It's an exact replica of the Globe Theatre in London, made entirely in wood, and simply entering it is an experience in and of itself.
That wasn't the first Shakespeare play I have seen on stage, but it was the first in that setting and it's been as if all the things I've studied for half my life had materialized in front of my eyes. Talk about magic, indeed.
Live performances usually hold a great fascination for me (sometimes even when they are incredibly lousy ;D) and this went way beyond what I was expecting. I fully intend to repeat it with the next two plays they have on the bill, and I'll just 'suspend disbelief' and let them take me back to the 15th century ;D
