been in Montreal...seen CM season finale...and only now I get proper access to computers and 'net

Let me start off by saying that I absolutely LOVED Montreal!!!!

I spent a week there for some longed for vacation-time and I had a blast!
Loved the city, loved the people... absolutely adored the cool weather, especially since I am back in Rome now and the temperatures are up around 90° F... seems like it couldn't wait for July to hit us with a heat wave...... I so hate to sweat......
I already want to go back, and I haven't been back home for 48 hours yet.

Only two words: Rue Crescent!!!!! hanging out, having a drink, music, chatting, people watching....ok, I'll stop here or I'll go to sleep totally depressed.
Me wants back there now!!!!! *pout*

And as a plus of this vacation overseas I got to watch the CM finale on tv for once, and not through the net.

But the finale itself.... mmm, didn't like it that much, plot-wise. in certain parts it was slow-paced (and not in a good way), not to mention illogical: even with his brother's guidance, Lucas could not have done half the things attributed to him without getting caught, he simply isn't shown as that subtle, quite the opposite, actually.

I like Sharif Atkins very much, but I could see how things were going to end for his character from miles away.

As usual I liked the interactions and the emotional reactions of the team, they were the best part in this sort of 'debacle', and though I loved Hotch's final voiceover, I absolutely loathed the fact that the cliffhanger (that I knew was coming) had NOTHING to do with the case at hand. On the contrary, it introduced a new case, as far as I could see.
That is quite trite in my opinion, not only because it is a TV 'trick'  that has already been seen, but also because, for me, it only reinforces the sense that the whole plot is being dragged out over two hours instead of being more fast paced and concentrated into one.
Shock factor obviously comes into play too: I had no idea the cliffhanger was going to be about this and now I'm kind of worrying, because, really, if they axe TG's character, I am not so sure this show is going to be something I will like to watch, especially considering they have also fired more than one good writer already.

so for now I'll have to wait and see, and write, and read good fics...thank God for them!!! :D

Well, the cliffhanger actually brings us back to a previous case... the guy in Hotch's apartment was George Foyet, the Reaper, from "Omnivore". So they're being clever, but they weren't clever enough, because a lot of people didn't catch that that's who it was. LOL
